On April 19, 2023, I met a German Shepherd in California and I named her Hercules. When Hercules and I saw each other, there was a connection. Later, I asked my Sister about Hercules and she said that she was looking for a home for Hercules. My sister mentioned that that Hercules has had 5 previous Owners. I left to run some errands and in the process prayed for Hercules to find a great home where she would be loved unconditionally. After praying and seeing some signs of confirmation, I told my Sister that I would adopt Hercules. Hence, my sister recommended that I get Hercules up-to-date on her vaccines as Hercules had not seen a Veterinarian.

April 21 was Hercules first visit to the Veterinarian. She was 16 weeks old and weight 42 lbs. I asked the Veterinarian what I needed to do to get Hercules to Texas. They told me to find a Pet Traveling Service. I found a wonderful Pet Traveling Service named Happy Tails Travel (see link below) Lizzie and her team coached me through the transport process. Hercules started her trip from California on May 5 and arrived to her new home in Texas on May 7. On May 7th early in the morning our yard was decorated with a “Welcome Home Hercules” yard sign.

This blog will document the journey of Hercules and I. We hope that our blog will impact your life in a positive way along with hope, love, peace and laughter to individuals that cross our path.
I want to thank my Nieces, Nephews, that have helped me in starting this blog. The Sam and Herc Journey begins! Please feel free to follow our journey at
