It’s been a good midweek.
Hercules and I have been helping a friend install a new double-pane window. I’ve been doing most of the measuring and cutting, and it’s been encouraging to feel more comfortable working safely with the table saw and miter saw.

What stands out most is how much better things feel when I slow down and focus on doing each cut the right way. Being deliberate, double-checking measurements, and respecting the tools has made the work not only safer — but genuinely enjoyable.
Hercules, of course, has been on inspection duty the entire time.

These small moments matter. They’re reminders that progress doesn’t have to be rushed to be real.
